LinkedIn updates profiles’ Experience listing

LinkedIn has introduced a new update that will allow users to better organize their career progression by grouping their internal career shifts within one company under one banner on their LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn explains the new option as follows:

“One of the number one requests we’ve received when it comes to helping our members tell their personal stories is to create a better way to highlight past experiences and show career movement across each role. We’ve heard you, and we’re excited to be rolling out a new way to highlight your career path in the experience section of your profile. The new feature automatically groups consecutive positions you’ve held at the same organization into a single section.”

This update will allow users to showcase their career development more accurately helping recruiters get a better understanding of their profiles, which as a result, will provide them with better job opportunities.

LinkedIn’s new update is only available in the US currently, but it will start rolling out globally in the coming weeks.
