The professional platform is rolling out interest targeting in Campaign Manager – an option that will allow advertisers to target users with ads that match their professional interests.
LinkedIn explains interest targeting as follows:
“We’re excited to announce interest targeting in Campaign Manager. Interest targeting lets you reach members with relevant ads that match their professional interests — based on the content they share and engage with on LinkedIn.”
The interest data is populated based on the content users share and engage with on the platform. Currently, there are more than 200 interest categories that range from topics related to artificial intelligence, customer experience, and much more.
Interest targeting will be available to all advertisers over the next week.
