In an aim to make sure that people’s time on Facebook is well spent, the social media giant will be improving its comments ranking factors on public posts.
Facebook will be adding two new elements to make sure relevant and high-quality comments are shown more prominently. According to Facebook, more emphasis will be given to comments when:
- The comments have interactions from the Page or person who originally posted; or
- The comments or reactions are from friends of the person who posted.
This seems to be a logical addition to the comments ranking factors, which will help boost the quality of content shown within the newsfeed.
