The social media giant is pulling its weight to boost its e-commerce presence. It is currently working on new shopping ads for both Facebook and Instagram.
First off, it is testing an in-app checkout for Facebook News Feed ads. This option will streamline the whole purchase process, including check-out, via the ad post versus directing users to a different website to complete the cycle.
As for Instagram, the platform is currently working on the option to turn organic shopping posts into an ad via Ads Manager.
The two options are currently being tested with selected advertisers, with potential plans to widely roll them out before the holiday season.
