If Facebook did it, Twitter did it, and even WhatsApp did, then why did Instagram not have the option to manage messages on desktop?
Speculation was rife. But we don’t need the answer anymore!
In a statement that will surely make millions of users happy, Instagram announced they are:
“currently testing Direct messaging on the web, so you can read and reply to your messages from wherever you are.”
Long gone are the days when CMs were at the mercy of their phones’ small keyboards and unpredictable autocorrect. However, and since the feature is still under testing, we can only hope it comes sooner than later.
Now, all we need is for Twitter to make editing tweets possible for us to have all the features that should have been deployed in 2017!
