Facebook’s increasingly tighter integration is not only about business and messaging anymore. In its battle against TikTok, Facebook is now bringing Instagram Reels to the main FB app, to directly tap into its massive combined audience.
According to reports, the platform:
“…will also test a new feature that will give Instagram creators in the U.S. the option to have their Instagram Reels shown as recommended content on Facebook. If the creators opt in, their videos will appear in the “Reels” section in users’ News Feed, alongside other Reels created on Facebook.”
But that’s not all! It turns out that Facebook users will be able to create Reels from the FB app, called, well, Facebook Reels. Will it work better than or as a complement to Instagram Reels? Time will tell.
